How many years have you trained with Coach Sutton?

6 years

How has training helped you?

It has helped me to become both a better basketball player and a better person. Without Coach Sam I would not be as skilled and good as I am today. He taught me how to shoot the basketball. It has helped me become a better person because it really has shown me that hard work always wins in the end, and that I can do anything as long as I put my mind to it and put in the work.

What does Welcome To Hard Work Mean to you?

Welcome To Hard Work means to me that it is time to work as hard as I can as soon as I walk into Coach Sam’s gym. It means that it is time to push myself as hard as I can so that I can continue to get better.

What advice would you give younger players?

The advice I would give younger players is that no matter how hard it gets, always push yourself. It is okay to make mistakes, especially when you’re training, because it is part of the game and by making mistakes it shows you are pushing yourself. Also, just have fun with it. Basketball is meant to be fun and you should enjoy it every time you step in between those lines.

Anything else you'd like to say or mention?

I would just like to say thank you to Coach Sam himself because without all of the countless hours he has put in with me in the gym I would not be where I am today. He has taught me so many lessons outside of basketball and I really appreciate him. Some other people I would like to thank are my parents because without their continuous support and their help to get me to accomplish my goals I would not be the person I am today.
